Explosion-proof lighting fixtures are one of the most common types of explosion-proof products and are used in almost all flammable and explosive hazardous areas. All such fixtures must pass tests in accordance with the relevant standards of the GB/T 3836 series, and only after passing the tests and obtaining the Ex Certificate can they be put into use in flammable and explosive hazardous areas. However, in accordance with the official announcements of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), explosion-proof lighting fixtures and their control devices have been included in the National Compulsory Product Certification (CCC) Catalogue, i.e., the CCC Certification. A one-year transition period is implemented, and starting from May 1, 2025, it will be mandatory for all types of explosion-proof lighting fixtures and their control devices to obtain the Ex CCC Certification, instead of just the Ex Certificate.

Certainly, enterprises may also apply for the Ex CCC Certification for lighting fixtures now. All certification bodies have started accepting entrusted applications for the Ex CCC Certification of explosion-proof lighting fixtures since May 1, 2024.
